November 11th 6pm. Seymour Centre
In commemoration of 8o years since the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the end of the Asia Pacific War.
This is a modern Noh play by Tonio Tada first performed in 2005.
Experience the power of tradition and resilience. The Holy Mother of Nagasaki is a moving modern Noh performance honouring the spirit of peace and remembrance. The strenght of this work lies in the two spectacles: rites of prayer and a work of expressive art.
The Sydney University Graduate Choir will be performing the various Gregorian Chants woven into the fabric of this remarkable play.
